a legacy of 85 years and the Travancore Pakka Biriyani by Azad has a legacy of over 200 years.
The seven verticals of the Azad Corporate House include the Foundational Food vertical, Restaurant vertical, Bakers & Confectioneries vertical, Tiny Meals & Street Food vertical, Packaged Food vertical, Luxury Management & Events vertical and Luxury Lifestyle vertical. There are 18 power brands under these 7 different verticals.
The restaurant vertical under the Azad Corporate House is divided into three separate segments: India Heritage Hotels chain, Premium Restaurant chain and the slow-food-fast-service ethnic restaurant chain.
1940 India by Azad is the first restaurant in the slow-food-fast-service ethnic restaurant category. It was launched on May 29, 2025. 1940 India by Azad is probably India’s first slow-food-fast-service ethnic restaurant chain. Perhaps, also the world’s first slow-food-fast-service ethnic restaurant chain.
